Lou Chesler

A well-known Canadian financier with a colorful personality, Louis (Lou) Chesler was an investor and speculator who was famously involved in a “million-dollar bet” while watching the overtime of the 1958 NFL Championship Game between the Colts and the Giants.

By 1960, he made his wealth by investing in Canadian mining stocks, engineered the sale of Warner Brothers' film library to United Artists, had got in to the manufacturing of Tote systems (which automatically tote up statistics for racetrack betting), and had begun merchandising Florida land.

Lou’s grandson, Adam Arviv, followed in his grandfather’s footsteps and started several businesses of his own. As an entrepreneur, venture capitalist and investor, Adam Arviv has invested in the gaming industry (inspired by his grandfather), as well as a multitude of early-stage growth companies.
